vRealize Log Insight – Upgrade from 2.5 to 3.0.0

  1. Download the 3.0.0 upgrade PAK file:
  • Take a snapshot of your vLogInsight appliance 😉
  • Log in using admin credentials
  • In the upper right hand corner, click on the 3 horizontal bars and choose “Administration”:

  • In the left column click on “Appliance”:

  • And now we wait:

  • Eventually you will get kicked back to the log in screen, log in again and you *should* see this:

Now you will want to upgrade your Content Packs:

  1. In the upper right hand corner, click on the 3 horizontal bars and choose “Content Packs”:

  2. In the left column click on “Updates”:

That’s pretty much it for the Content Packs! Once you click update you are bumped back to the “Installed Content Packs” section and you should see this:

    Hi Chris,
    Got your site from the vExpert slack site and nice to see so much vRealize content. Like the screenshots which can not be found in VMware docs but they are super helpful. 🙂

      Thanks Steve! There’s going to be a LOT more vROps stuff coming up soon as I’m currently designing a large deployment (multiple nodes, multiple sites, multiple plugins) for my current employer 🙂
